Big finissage of Celine Liu's solo-exhibition I'M EVERYWHERE with saxophone duet Cheng Chen & Taixiang Wang, saxophonists at Universitaet der Kuenste, Berlin 

PROGRAMME, commencing at 7:15 pm sharp:

- "Conversations" for two saxophones by Sir Richard Rodney Bennett
- "Prelude" from Six Caprices by Pierre-Max Dubois
- "Sonata in G-Dur" by Georg Philipp Telemann


Silin Liu (aka. Celine Liu) habitually crosses the boundaries of photography and digital art, while also exploring installation and performance. On view at Koppenplatz 5 is Liu’s infamous series I’M EVERYWHERE, for which she received the Jimei x Arles Discovery Award, She also presents works from her most recent project APPME and an installation of the video-works SIRENS. The exhibition at Migrant Bird Space is Liu’s first solo-show in Germany.


Celine Liu recently received the "ARTE | PiB Award", presented by Monat der Fotografie-OFF Berlin. This is the last chance to see her show -- join us for an evening of art & wine! 


Musicians:

Cheng Chen regularly plays with the Berlin Symphony Orchestra. Born 1994 in Wuhan, she plays the piano since she was three years old and saxophone since she was eight. After studying saxophone at the School of Music in Wuhan since 2009, she became a ‘Junge Studentin’ at the “Hochschule for Musik - Hanns Eisler”, Berlin, in 2011. In 2013 she won the Outstanding Award of “Jugend Musiziert” in Treviso, Italy, and First Prize at the International Competition “Luigi Zanuccoli” for Young Musicians in 2018.

Taixiang Wang, born 1994 in Shandong, studies saxophone since he was nine years old. 2014 he won second place at the Chinese Saxophone Competition. In 2016 he received his Bachelor at the University of the Arts in Shandong, while playing first saxophone in the university’s saxophone-ensemble. Since 2018, he is a Master’s student of saxophone at the University of Arts (UdK) Berlin
